Make a Gift - Group Giving
A group gift allows classmates, colleagues or friends to come together in coordinated support of a shared Rice Business priority. While participants make individual contributions, the group’s collective impact is tracked and recognized, and each donor receives individual gift credit.
In a typical group gift:
- A leadership team is established by the group. This team leads the effort and works directly with Rice Business staff throughout the process.
- The leadership team drives all outreach, encouraging classmates, colleagues and friends to participate and support the group’s chosen giving priority. This is a group-led initiative, not a Rice Business staff-led campaign.
- The group selects a giving priority, such as the Rice Business Fund, a scholarship or another school initiative.
- Each participant makes an individual gift using Rice’s standard giving methods (online, by mail or other approved options) and designates it toward the agreed-upon group effort.
- Rice Business tracks and recognizes the total impact of the group gift.
