TYPES OF AID

What if being a selective university actually meanthelping more students attend

Just as no one school is perfect for every student, neither is any one single form of financial aid the only way to fund your Rice education. Learning the types of aid available to you is the first step to getting the assistance you need.

Gift Aid

Gift aid is aid that does not have to be paid back. It can come in the form of grants, scholarships, merit awards, and outside aid from various sources, such as the institution, the state, private organizations, or the federal government. The Rice Investment is one form of gift aid Rice provides to incoming students who qualify.
