Entrepreneurship challenges MBAs to create value from the ground up.
Entrepreneurship offers MBA students the opportunity to create, iterate, and build ventures that address real needs in the market. At Rice Business, students are supported by a close-knit entrepreneurial community, experiential coursework, and hands-on resources that help turn ideas into viable businesses and long-term career paths.
For the seventh year in a row the Jones Graduate School of Business is ranked the No. 1 graduate entrepreneurship program in the United States for 2025 by the Princeton Review. Rice Business offers an incredibly strong community to create new businesses and realize the key role entrepreneurs play in the economy. Turning an idea into a profitable venture can seem like a daunting task, but may turn out to be the most rewarding thing for your career. Many great entrepreneurs experience many failures before seeing success, but with the courses taught at Rice and a supporting community, our program is fully equipped to assist innovation and turn passion into revenue.

The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship (Rice Alliance) is Rice University’s nationally-recognized initiative devoted to the support of technology commercialization, entrepreneurship education, and the launch of technology companies.
The Liu Idea Lab for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Lilie) is the home of experiential learning and co-curricular activities in entrepreneurship and innovation at Rice University. Our mission is to equip Rice students with both entrepreneurial skills and the entrepreneurial mindset to prepare them to be entrepreneurs and innovators in whatever industry they choose.
