Fields of Interest

Accounting

Leila Peyravan is an assistant professor of accounting. Her research interests are generally focused on how information quality, in the context of a firm’s financial reporting quality and accounting practices, affects debt and equity markets. She earned her Ph.D. in accounting from University of Toronto. She also holds a master of business administration in finance and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, both from University of Toronto. Dr. Peyravan is also a CFA Charter holder since 2010. Previously, she worked as a consultant and financial analyst.
