### FAQs
- How many participants are in each program?
Each program typically includes 20-30 individuals – the optimal range in class size for participant interaction and focused faculty attention.
- How much do your programs cost?

- What is a typical day’s schedule?
Programs typically begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 4:30 pm. Breakfast is served at 8:00 am, and you’ll have an hour lunch break around noon.
- Are Rice Business Executive Education programs accredited?
Rice Business offers non-accredited executive education programs focused on specific business topics. At the conclusion of your program, you’ll be awarded a certificate of completion signed by the dean.
- What is your cancellation policy?
Attendance at a Rice University Executive Education program requires significant advance preparation. Written notice of cancellation must be received 30 or more days prior to the program start date to be eligible for a full refund less a 6% administrative fee. Written notice requesting a transfer to a future Rice Business Executive Education program must also be received 30 or more days prior to the program start date to be eligible for a transfer with no additional fees. At Rice University Executive Education’s discretion, qualified substitutes for confirmed registrations may be accommodated immediately prior to the program start date with written notice and will incur no fee for substitution. Requests to cancel or transfer made within 30 days of the program start date will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
- What are my payment options?
Rice Business Executive Education accepts payments for program fees by credit card, check, and electronic funds transfers (wire transfer or ACH). Payment is due in full prior to the start date of open enrollment programs. Due dates and payment terms are listed on our invoices. Rice does not accept traditional financial aid such as federally-funded student loans and VA educational benefits to pay for Rice Business Executive Education courses. Rice Business Executive Education courses are non-degreed, professional development programs, and as such do not qualify for most types of traditional financial aid. Many participants receive full or partial sponsorship from their organization or accept private loans to support their participation.
Rice Business Executive Education is please to offer group discounts, special rates to current Rice staff and faculty, and 10-20% discounts on many of our open enrollment programs to Rice Alumni, Veterans, and employees of non-profit organizations.

- Where are Rice Business Executive Education programs held?
Rice Business Executive Education programs are hosted on the campus of Rice University as well as strategic locations with neighboring partners. Many programs take place at McNair Hall, home to the Jones Graduate School of Business on Rice's main campus. We also host programs annually in The Woodlands, Texas. Programs and events are also available at Rice University's Ion District located on the south end of Houston's downtown corridor.

- Which hotels are close to campus? Does Rice offer housing for participants?
Rice does not offer housing for participants; however, there are a number of hotels near campus that offer discounted rates upon request and based on availability. Please [contact us](mailto:ruee@rice.edu) after you enroll and we’ll share a list of preferred partners.
- Can Rice help me obtain a visa?
Participants in our non-degree Executive Education programs are not eligible for student visas. If you require a visa, please contact a U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for appropriate credentials to enter the U.S. If requested, we can provide a letter after course payment has been received stating the purpose of your visit to the U.S. is to participate in our Executive Education programming.
- What are the prerequisites for attending an Executive Education program?
Most of our open enrollment programs do not have prerequisites; however, our Rice Advanced Management Program does require an application. All applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. The Leadership Accelerator Program is best-suited for professionals with managerial responsibilities and more than seven years’ experience. To learn more, [contact us](mailto:ruee@rice.edu).
- If I don’t have an undergraduate degree, may I still participate in an Executive Education program?
An undergraduate degree is not required to enroll in our programs; however, most material is presented at a graduate level.
- Do you offer group or other special discounts?

- What is included in the tuition fee?
Tuition includes class materials, parking, a commemorative gift, breakfast, lunch, refreshments and a Rice University certificate of completion. Airfare, transportation, hotel accommodations and personal incidentals are not included.
