Travel Support

Travel Grants

Through the Wagoner Scholarship for Study Abroad Program graduate students are eligible to receive funds to support research abroad. The program provides sufficient funds to allow a student to conduct research abroad for up to a year.

Additionally, the Expanding Horizons Fellowship, generously funded by Dr. Walter Loewenstern, provides students the opportunity to conduct research-related future travel that will benefit the local communities connected to their research while expanding the student's knowledge and experience.

International Travel

University travel policies

You can review Rice policies on international travel here. When traveling with technology, review the guidelines and policies from Rice OIT here. The Office of Research has its own guidelines on research-related travel, which can be reviewed here. All policies for international students can be found on the OISS website here.
