[### Applying for a visa](https://www.rmit.edu.au/study-with-us/international-students/apply-to-rmit-international-students/student-visas)

To start studying in Australia, your child will need a student visa from the Australian Government. Before applying for a student visa, your child must meet certain conditions.

[### Confirmation of Enrolment](https://www.rmit.edu.au/study-with-us/international-students/apply-to-rmit-international-students/student-visas/confirmation-of-enrolment)

A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is an official document issued by RMIT and used by the Australian Government. It records what your child is studying, including start and end dates, fees paid, and estimated total fees required.

[### Visa conditions](https://www.rmit.edu.au/study-with-us/international-students/apply-to-rmit-international-students/student-visas#conditions)

Breaking student visa conditions can lead to the cancellation of your child's student visa. Your child must maintain a valid student visa by adhering to conditions related to study load and completion, attendance requirements, OSHC, and work restrictions.

[### Health cover requirements](https://www.rmit.edu.au/study-with-us/international-students/apply-to-rmit-international-students/student-visas/health-cover-requirements)

All international students require Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their student visa. The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) requires continuous OSHC for all student visa applications.
