### Creating Safe Spaces for Students
University life can be exciting and enriching, but it’s also important to have spaces where students feel supported, respected, and free to be themselves. Our campus is committed to fostering inclusive and welcoming environments where students can connect, reflect, and seek support when needed. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind, a community that shares your experiences, or professional guidance, our safe spaces provide the resources and support to help you thrive. Explore the various locations across campus designed to ensure every student feels valued, and safe.
### Queer Lounges
The Queer Lounge is a dedicated space for LGBTQIA+ students to connect, relax, and feel supported. Whether you’re looking for a place to socialise, study, or simply take a break in a welcoming environment, this space is open to all queer students and allies. Equipped with comfortable seating, resources, and a strong sense of community, the Queer Lounge is a safe haven where you can be yourself without judgment.

### Women's Room
The Women’s Room is a supportive and empowering space designed for women and non-binary students to gather, share experiences, and find a sense of belonging. Whether you need a quiet spot to unwind, access to helpful resources, or a space to connect with others, the Women’s Room offers a welcoming environment where you can feel safe and valued. This room is a hub for discussion, relaxation, and advocacy for gender equity on campus.
### Sensory Friendly Study Spaces
Designed with neurodivergent students in mind, our study spaces provide a low-stimulation, flexible environment to support different learning styles and needs. These spaces offer quiet zones, sensory-friendly lighting, and adaptive furniture to create a comfortable and productive atmosphere. Whether you require a calm area to focus or a space with minimal distractions, these study spaces help foster academic success while prioritising well-being. RMIT has a number of sensory friendly study spaces a low sensory.
