2026 Student Reps
Samuel Coombs
President
Sam first became involved in student leadership as the elected RUSU Disability and Carers Officer for 2024, a position he successfully held for two years. In this role, Sam was the key Student Champion for the We Belong collaborative art project, exploring accessibility and allyship; he supported the ongoing delivery of the Neurodiverse Study Sessions; and has spoken on several RMIT panels focused on disability, accessibility, and equity.
In 2026, Sam will continue his commitment to supporting students affected by the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, while championing the wellbeing of the entire student community. As President, his goal is to advocate for progressive changes to academic policy and accessibility at RMIT, and to lead RUSU in delivering outstanding student experiences.
Bunny Wadhwa
General Secretary
Bunny has been an active executive and committee member of several clubs, including the Indian Club, the Business Students Association, and the EFMSA. He has extensive volunteer experience with both RUSU and RMIT, including the College of Business, Job Shop, RMIT Plus, and SSCC. Bunny strongly believes that volunteering is a valuable way to connect with diverse groups of students and create meaningful experiences.
Bunny first connected with RUSU through the volunteer program, and was elected Education Officer in 2025. He has a strong interest in student entrepreneurship. As General Secretary, Bunny is committed to delivering RUSU programs and services that support all students, including welfare and support initiatives, clubs, events, and advocacy.
