Guaranteed ATAR
Plan and list your preferences with the confidence of knowing what ATAR will guarantee entry into your dream course
RMIT offers a range of courses with Guaranteed ATARs (excluding adjustment factors).
What is a Guaranteed ATAR?
The Guaranteed ATAR allows you to know the likelihood of receiving an offer into specific courses in advance.
This means that if you receive an ATAR equal to or above the guaranteed ATAR (excluding adjustment factors), and meet the course prerequisites, we will guarantee you an offer in this course.
For VTAC applicants to receive an offer, this course must be your highest eligible preference. However, if you receive an ATAR below this guarantee, you may still receive an offer, depending on the availability of places in this course and whether you are eligible to receive any adjustment factors.
*Please note: Guaranteed ATARs are subject to change on an annual basis. Guaranteed ATAR also applies to relevant packaged pathway courses.
Eligibility for guaranteed entry
You are eligible for guaranteed entry if you:
- are a domestic student applying for Semester 1* with an Australian Year 12 qualification where you are awarded an ATAR on completion
- are applying to RMIT via VTAC or Direct
- meet all other essential admission criteria such as course prerequisites
- apply while there are still places available.
Remember: you can use these guaranteed ATARs to guide your preference planning, but you should always list your courses according to what you would like to study the most.
