RUSU After Dark
RMIT City Campus: Building 78
Building 78 is a large, fun event space on the Carlton campus. During the day, it’s a chilled-out student lounge – perfect for relaxing, playing games or hanging out between classes. After hours, Building 78 transforms into ‘RUSU After Dark’, a bookable vibrant space for all kinds of student and student club events, meetups, and celebrations. Student club bookings are encouraged. The area is large flexible space (around 400m²), open, and full of colour, with a creative, welcoming vibe.

- Evening Bookings: “RUSU After Dark” 4:00pm – 10:00pm, Monday to Thursday
- Day Bookings: 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday. Generally not bookable for daytime events, unless the event is a ‘shared use’ event, which can be held alongside general student use of the space.
- Weekend & Friday Bookings: By special arrangement only (please consider the RUSU Activity Space instead)\ \

The Pulse
RMIT Bundoora West Campus: Building 204, Level 1
The Pulse is a versatile event space at Bundoora West, frequently used for student-facing community gatherings and celebrations. It is a large, open space designed for social interaction, relaxation, and engagement. The area includes games and a TV, creating a casual and entertaining atmosphere. A small courtyard provides an outdoor extension, offering a refreshing break from indoor activities. The space is furnished with tables, couches and chairs, making it suitable for both seated events and informal gatherings.
Building 204 also includes a smaller upstairs lounge style meeting space with couches and coffee tables to enjoy a casual catch host your next club meeting. A mini kitchenette is also available, allowing for light food preparation and refreshments. With its flexible setup and welcoming environment, The Pulse serves as a vibrant hub for student activities and events.

- Evening Bookings: up to 10:00pm Monday to Friday (by special arrangement)

Catered or pre-prepared food can be served on site, or heated in the microwaves. Food cannot be cooked or prepared in the kitchenette. Events involving alcohol are permitted but must follow Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements, and liquor licence requirements (the space does NOT have a standing liquor licence) and RMIT Security must be notified and paid for by event organisers.
RUSU Activity Space
RMIT City Campus: Building 10, Level 3, Room 59
This large activity space in building 10 is ideal for student club social activities, large gatherings, cocktail evenings, movie nights and other non-academic events. It can be set up with tables and chairs for training, meetings or meals, or the tables and chairs can be removed to create a large open space. This room has everything your student club needs for your next social gathering or formal event.

50 people (seated) or 80 people (unseated)

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 10:00pm
Facilities
- Projector and speakers (inputs: HDMI, or VGA with 3.5mm audio jack; user must bring own laptop)
- Kitchenette with 2 fridges, 2 microwaves, sink with hot and cold water
- 30 seats with 10 trestle tables
- Blinds for all external windows

Catered or pre-prepared food can be served on site, or heated in the microwaves. Food cannot be cooked or prepared in kitchenette. Events involving alcohol are permitted but must follow Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements and RMIT Security must be notified. RMIT may require you to pay for guards depending on the scale of the event.
Medium Meeting Room
RMIT City Campus: Building 57, Level 4, Room 37
This room is suitable for meetings, training sessions and small-scale social gatherings. The tables and chairs can be moved to the side of the room to create a small/medium-sized activity space.

Up to 25 people (seated) or 30 people (unseated)

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 10:00pm
Facilities
- Projector and speakers
- Desktop computer with document camera for projection use
- Inputs for laptop use: HDMI, or VGA with 3.5 mm audio jack, with network cable
- 25 seats with six trestle tables
