# What is Primo Research Assistant?

**[Primo Research Assistant](https://libguides.ntu.edu.sg/responsible-ai-use/research-assistant-tools#s-lg-box-23113330)** is a feature within NTU Library’s OneSearch that enables users to explore research topics and quickly identify relevant academic sources using natural‑language searching, without the need to construct Boolean operators.

It provides concise overviews of the top five most relevant sources with inline citations and allows users to ask questions in their preferred language, retrieving sources in both English and the selected language where available.\

Research topics can be broadened or refined using AI‑generated suggestions, with access to scholarly materials—such as full‑text journal articles and books—available through the NTU Library.\

Primo Research Assistant is accessible via the top bar or a banner on the right side of any [OneSearch](https://ntu-sp.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?vid=65NTU_INST:65NTU_INST&lang=en) results page, as shown in the images below.\
