About the Programme
Looking China Project is a programme where young filmmakers from around the world are invited to discover China's cities through the language of film --- to feel their charm, capture their style and experience their vitality. Let your lens become a bridge between cultures, and your creativity a light for the future. Looking China is not only about seeing a city—it is about witnessing the shared dreams and enduring spirit of humanity.\
In 2026, the Looking China Youth Film Project embraces the theme “City Charm, Modern Style, Urban Vitality”, inviting young flmmakers from around the world to explore the vibrant life of Chinese cities through their lenses. Across China, cities are evolving at an astonishing pace—where towering skylines converse with ancient streets, and tradition harmonizes with trend. This year’s theme calls upon youth to capture the essence of urban character, the rhythm of modern innovation, and the pulse of vitality that defnes contemporary China.
