The pre-selection procedure started on December 22, 2025 and will end on May 15, 2026.

To help you verify your eligibility in advance and avoid submitting a non-eligible application, applicants are kindly required to read the documents below before proceeding with the pre-selection.\ Only candidates who meet the requirements indicated therein should proceed with the pre-selection application:

  1. 📖 READ the admissions requirements for the programme(s) you are interested in\ ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (2026/2027 - .pdf link updated on March 10th, 2026)
  2. 📜 CHECK if your academic qualifications are valid for enrollment at our University\  ACCEPTED QUALIFICATIONS BY COUNTRY (2026/2027 - .pdf link updated Dec. 18th, 2025)
  3. ✅ PROCEED with your application(s) - maximum 2 applications per student per academic year: --> MoveIn <--

📅 2026-2027 PRE-SELECTION DEADLINES:\ - Non-EU candidates residing abroad and requiring a visa: December 22, 2025 - May 15, 2026 - Pre-accepted students will have to register on the Universitaly platform by the end of June 2026.

Between 15 May and the end of June 2026, non-EU candidates could only apply for courses taught in Italian, in accordance with the procedures set out in the calls for admission (https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/).

- All other candidates (EU or equivalent): deadline set on July 31, 2026.

🎓 2026-2027 PROGRAMME DESCRIPTIONS AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS(updated March 10th, 2026)\ Please read the descriptions and entry requirements carefully BEFORE submitting your pre-selection application and ALWAYS refer to the Course Catalogue for further information on enrolment procedures ("Apply" section). For programmes not included in the pre-selection procedure, please refer directly to the Course Catalogue.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: please carefully review the language requirements for admission to English-taught programmes.

💶 APPLICATION FEE\ All pre‑selection candidates are required to pay a €30 application fee for each submitted application (up to a maximum of two applications per candidate per intake). No application fee waiver is available under any circumstances.

đź“„ APPLICATION PROCESS

Here are the main steps international students have to follow to apply to one of our programmes:

  1. Complete a pre-selection application
  2. Create an account on Infostud, Sapienza's student services portal
  3. Follow the instructions contained in your programme's "Call for Admissions" available at corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it ("Apply" section) and on the International Student Office page
  4. Apply for a study visa on WWW.UNIVERSITALY.IT (NON-UE STUDENTS ONLY) by the end of June (to be updated for 2026)

đź’» WHAT IS A PRE-SELECTION APPLICATION?

A pre-selection application is an online application allowing international students to be assessed well before the official Call for Applications is published. Pre-selection is available for most English-taught Bachelor's and Master's programmes not requiring an in-person admission test, and for a limited number of Italian-taught programmes.

This application is particularly important for those applying for a study visa to enter Italy. Most programmes will ask pre-selection applicants to provide:

Each student can apply for a maximum of 2 programmes per academic year.

Please note: if the programme(s) you are interested in is not available for pre-selection, we invite you to contact the programme Coordinator through the Contacts section of our Course Catalogue.

âś… WHAT ARE THE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION?

IMPORTANT:Please note that final admissions are dependent on the successful outcome of all of the above steps, some of which are not controlled or managed by Sapienza University of Rome. Do make sure to follow all the regulations applying to your specific status (e.g. visa applicant, permanent resident, international degree holder, etc.)

📜 FEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Tuition for our Bachelor's and Master's programmes  is € 300-1500/year, according to country of residence (visit "Tuition Fees and Benefits" for further details).\ We are able to offer such convenient rates thanks to public funding by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education. Additionally, students can apply for various scholarships available at different levels, awarded on the basis of academic merit and/or family income. https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/scholarships
