# Security Office

The Security Office is in charge of planning, coordinating and monitoring all activities related to the optimisation of university security and to prevent, face and resolve all illicit actions that may damage individuals and university property (including immaterial resources).

The structure is headed by a high-level manager, who is in charge of activities and actions that fulfil the full achievement of the Security Office’s institutional objectives:

- Acquiring tools necessary to counter potential threats, issues and emergency situations, operating legally and coherently in an efficient and efficacious manner;
- Manage relations and collaboration with institutional bodies in charge of public safety, correctly representing Sapienza University’s needs.
- The Security Office is also responsible for planning and coordinating the monitoring, control and review activities implemented by the [Security Management Sector](https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/security-management-sector) and the [Risk Assessment, Planning and Countermeasures Sector](https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/risk-assessment-planning-and-countermeasures-sector).
