**1. Requirements and conditions**

The assessment and recognition of university degree programmes and periods of study completed in a foreign higher education system and of international academic qualifications **is aimed exclusively at the continuation of university studies**, for enrolment in a degree programme following on from one already completed or for enrolment in a related programme with a request for recognition of exams already taken.

**2. Procedures**

**If you have a qualification or exams from a foreign education system** and intend to enrol in a degree programme requesting recognition of your previous academic career, you must:

- participate in the admission procedures set out in the call for applications for your chosen programme, available in the programmes catalogue, in the Enrolment section of each degree programme <https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/>

- submit your request for recognition online by sending a ticket to the Hello– foreign students office. The list of documents to be submitted to the Hello - Foreign students department ([studentistranieri@uniroma1.it](mailto:studentistranieri@uniroma1.it)) is available on the dedicated page

**3. Deadlines**

You must submit your application within 30 days of the date of payment of the first instalment of the first-year enrolment/registration fees.

**4. Practising your profession**

If you have been awarded an academic qualification abroad and intend to use it to practise a profession in Italy, you must contact the relevant ministries for recognition.
