1. Benefits and conditions
The ‘Family Bonus’ provides a reduction in enrolment fees for multiple family members who enrol in Sapienza degree programmes.
A. The amount of the reduction, for each family member who meets the requirements, varies according to the ISEE:

with an ISEE valid for the right to university education of less than or equal to €40,000: the reduction is 15% of the annual amount;

with an ISEE valid for the right to university education of more than €40,000: the reduction is 8% of the annual amount.
The regional tax (€140) and stamp duty (€16) must be added to the enrolment fees.
B. To be eligible for the family bonus:

you must enrol or be enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year in a degree programme lasting no longer than its normal duration*; in the case of transfer from another programme, all previous years of enrolment are counted (*Due to a typographical error in Board Resolution No. 210/18 introducing the benefit, it is incorrectly stated that the benefit is granted up to the first year "fuori corso");

You must have at least one family member (brother, sister, parent or child) enrolled or registered at Sapienza and up to date with the payment of enrolment fees for the academic year 2025-2026 (i.e. who has paid the first instalment within the deadline);

You must belong to the same family unit, as shown in the single substitute declaration (Dsu) submitted to obtain the Isee calculation for the right to university education.

You must have acquired the same ISEE for the right to university education as your family members;

If you are enrolled in the 2025-2026 academic year in the second year of a bachelor's or single-cycle master's degree programme, you must have earned at least 10 CFUs (university credits) by 10 August 2025;

If you are enrolling in the 2025-2026 academic year in a year after the second year, you must have earned at least 25 CFUs (university credits) between 10 August 2024 and 10 August 2025.

You must not be enrolled part-time.

You must not be eligible for more favourable reductions (Articles 44, 56, 57).
C. There are no merit requirements:

If you enrol in first-level bachelor's degree programmes;
-
If you enrol in the first year of second level two-year degree programmes;
-
if you have transferred from other Italian or foreign universities, limited to the year in which the transfer took place.
D. Qualifying examinations for CFUs (university credits) can only be counted as exams/credits if they are recorded.
E. If there is a difference in merit among the members of the family unit, only those who meet the requirements will receive the reduction.
2. Procedure
The Infostud system will calculate the bonus after the first instalment has been paid by all members of the family unit who are eligible for the benefit. The reduction will take effect on the second instalment.
