# FISA

The FISA (Italian Fund for Applied Sciences) aims to promote the competitiveness of the national production system through the **enhancement of industrial research and experimental development**, and works alongside the FIS - Italian Fund for Science, which is dedicated to fundamental research.
The Ministry of University and Research intends to support **industrial research and experimental development project proposals submitted by individual researchers (principal investigators)** who are able to contribute to the resolution of important social issues and introduce significant innovations into the socio-economic and industrial context.
