Educational goals
This is an innovative post-graduate inter-university master’s course in “European and\ Comparative Public Law" delivered by Sapienza University in partnership with the European Law and Governance School (ELGS) by European Public Law Organization (EPLO). Designed for graduates and professionals eager to navigate the evolving landscape and dilemmas of European law and governance, the Master’s course provides an in-depth understanding of European and Comparative Public Law. It enables participants to broaden their knowledge of constitutional and administrative law within the EU, its Member States, and in a wider global context.
Considering the different national traditions through a comparative approach, the program examines the dynamics of the Rule of Law, democratic institutions, and rights protection. It also addresses emerging areas of public regulation and policy - including environmental protection, digital transformation, and public procurement - as well as the evolving relationship between the European Central Bank and national authorities.\ The Master aims to prepare participants for careers in public administration, international organizations, and private institutions engaged in public law and policy-making.\ \ Learning Objectives\ The Master aims to equip participants with the essential foundations needed to understand and address the main challenges and dilemmas facing contemporary society.
Participants develop the ability to interpret and apply public law principles in national, European, and global contexts, with a strong emphasis on theoretical and practical tools for comparative and interdisciplinary analysis. Through a problem-oriented approach, they learn to critically assess the functioning of multilevel governance, the interplay between legal systems, and the growing influence of supranational institutions on national frameworks, while developing the ability to apply comparative reasoning across diverse legal and institutional contexts.\ \ Admission test: Not required (selection based on qualifications only)
