To mark Earth Day, celebrated every year on April 22, Sapienza invites students to celebrate their graduation in a sustainable way, avoiding confetti and polluting balloons and following the guidelines for a #tesisostenibile

On Earth Day, the largest environmental event dedicated to saving the planet, Sapienza reminds all students to celebrate their graduation in a responsible and sustainable way.

The graduation ceremony is among the most significant moments for the entire university community and, as such, deserves to be celebrated with solemnity and decorum, as our Student Charter of Rights and Duties also states.

To celebrate this important milestone, you can make a small, tangible contribution to protecting the environment and stopping the spread of microplastics. How? By carefully avoiding the use of balloons, plastic confetti, streamers and other polluting materials that are harmful to the ecosystem and extremely difficult to remove.
