1. ​Meet deadlines: Pay special attention to various deadlines for federal, state and university aid or risk being ineligible for certain types of aid. See

2. Meet merit requirements: Some scholarships require a specific cumulative GPA or standardized test score. Read about

   **Note**: If you fail to meet eligibility requirements and lose a scholarship, you may appeal to have your scholarship reinstated using the
   [Scholarship Appeal form](https://sfa.osu.edu/contact-us/forms).

3. Watch your hours of enrollment: Financial aid awards are based on the assumption students will enroll full time during each term. Dropping below full time may have an
