In the artist’s own words: "This photo was taken at the bottom of Mont Saint-Michel, where a statue of Jesus Christ sits. I was first examining and amazed by the incredible details and textures of the Jesus statue at a close distance. Then, as I was walking around it, I looked up and saw the top of Mont Saint-Michel, which reminded me of heaven itself. And Jesus was sent down from there to pay for our sins. That created a holy scene in my head, I bended down trying to composite the towers on top of the Jesus statue and took this photo."
