In the artist's own words: "A Shikara (boat) ride on the Dal Lake amidst the beautiful valleys of Kashmir is one of the most relaxing experiences one can ask for. The periodic splashing of water breaking the dusk's silence is somewhat meditative. I couldn't help but capture this moment where the boatman looked lost in his thoughts, gazing into the distance, looking forward to a new dawn.
Srinagar which is at the heart of Jammu and Kashmir has been the epicenter of political unrest between India and Pakistan over the years. Is any side listening to the people who actually live there? I really hope so."
