Need-based grants and scholarships

Did you know? Students with demonstrated financial need can be eligible for a wide range of additional aid options, including:\

Regional Campus Commitment

The Regional Campus Commitment will provide eligible new first-year students enrolling at the Lima, Mansfield, Marion or Newark campuses or Ohio State ATI in Wooster with the opportunity to attend Ohio State tuition-free.

The Regional Campus Commitment program covers tuition and mandatory fees for low-to-middle income, new first-year students. Specifically, the program ensures that remaining tuition and mandatory fees are covered after applying other federal, state and institutional aid.

To qualify, new first-year students must:

This award will be available to students for up to eight semesters, whether they remain at a regional campus/Ohio State ATI or transition to the Columbus campus.

Buckeye Bridge Program

The Buckeye Bridge Program is a strategic initiative between Columbus State Community College (CSCC) and The Ohio State University. The program provides eligible CSCC associate degree graduates:

CSCC students are expected to transfer to Ohio State within three semesters after completing their associate degree.Criteria: To qualify, students must:

President's Affordability Grant

The President's Affordability Grant provides up to $2,250 to more than 16,000 middle- and lower-income in-state undergraduate students on all campuses.\

Buckeye Opportunity Program

The Buckeye Opportunity Program covers tuition and mandatory fees for Ohio residents on all campuses who are Pell-eligible and show significant need. (90% of Pell recipients have an annual household income of $50,000 or less.)\

Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship

Covers the whole cost of attendance for 176 students each year, with an effort to award two students from each Ohio county.\

Ohio State Tuition Guarantee (flat for four years)

The Ohio State Tuition Guarantee keeps in-state tuition, mandatory fees, and housing and dining rates flat for four years for each incoming class of new first-year undergraduates on all campuses.\

Discounted summer tuition (shortens the time to a degree)

Undergraduate students can enjoy discounted summer tuition. And taking summer courses can shorten the time to degree — further reducing your overall cost.\
