# Life in Taiwan

When you attend NTU, you don’t only have access to Taipei; the entirety of Taiwan and even Asia are within your reach. Southern cities with rich cultural history such as Tainan and Kaohsiung are just a few hours away by either the train or the high speed rail. The natural wonders of Hualien and Taitung are also a train ride away. You can even hop on a plane for a trip to Taiwan’s outlying islands such as Kinmen and Penghu.

With two international airports, the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei Songshan Airport, Taipei is connected tightly to the rest of the world. Students can easily travel to other countries for fun and to visit family.
