【2026-2028 Taiwan-Latvia-Lithuania (TW-LV-LT) Joint Research Program on Trilateral Agreements】

The National Science Technology Council (NSTC) has signed a trilateral science and technology cooperation agreement with the Ministries of Education and Science of Latvia and Lithuania to jointly solicit proposals for the aforementioned programme.

The aforementioned programme shall be implemented through an add-on approach. The principal investigator for the Taiwanese component must currently hold the position of principal investigator for a research project funded by the NSTC. Upon selection and recommendation of the application, the NSTC shall approve supplementary funding for international collaboration to be added to the existing project.

The collaborative fields encompass all areas of fundamental science and applied research, categorised into five major domains:

(a) Natural sciences

(b) Engineering and technology

(c) Medical and health sciences

(d) Agricultural sciences

(e) Social sciences and humanities.

Prospective applicants shall adhere to the following steps:

(1) Complete the online application on NSTC's website.

(2) Download the “NTU Application Form for NSTC Grant for the International Cooperative Project.”

(3)  After acquiring the signatures or seals of the head and dean of the executive department/institute, please email the finalized form to the Division of Research Project Affairs (RPA).

The deadline for submission is by 17:00, on Friday, 24 Apr., 2026.

Please simultaneously submit your online application through the NSTC system prior to the aforementioned internal application deadline, to facilitate the university's compilation and timely submission of the roster to the NSTC as scheduled
