WHAT IS “PHOENIX CASH”?
\ Phoenix cASH is the UChicago currency that allows students to use their University IDs like debit cards at participating locations on and off campus. Phoenix cASH can be utilized at all on-campus restaurants, student-run cafes, the campus bookstore, and other businesses. One cASH is equivalent to $1.

HOW PHOENIX CASH IS BILLED TO YOUR BURSAR STUDENT ACCOUNT
All students with an active academic program are able to charge Phoenix cASH to their Bursar Student Account. You will be billed for this charge in the month following. Please see the Monthly Billing Calendar for due dates.
IMPORTANT PHOENIX CASH INFORMATION
- Phoenix cASH is active on your account until you separate from the University. Your Phoenix cASH stays active as long as you are an enrolled student and is not refundable. Any exceptions to this policy requires director approval.
- There is a minimum purchase of $10 on to your Phoenix cASH account, and a maximum quarterly purchase of $1,250 (maximum purchased amount resets each quarter).
- In order to view your Phoenix cASH balance, log into get.cbord.com/uchicago. You can see your past transactions, and add more cASH if needed.

- The more cASH you buy, the more cASH you get overall! If you purchase $100 – $249 in cASH you receive a 5% bonus. If you purchase more than $250 in cASH then you receive a 7.5% bonus.
