About the Program

For over 15 years, UChicago has partnered with Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC) - a unique paid summer internship program in Cleveland open to all undergraduate UChicago students of all class years.

The program brings together 70-80 students from UChicago and other colleges for an intensive summer immersion program designed to help interns explore the professional, civic and social offerings of the Cleveland area.

SOTC offers students substantive paid internships with 40+ employers, numerous events/activities, housing, community introductions, and alumni connections. UChicago alumni volunteers, are assigned to serve as local points of contact for interns during their summer internship. Interns will be paired with an alumni host who may help with career advice or professional introductions.
