College Academic Program Open Houses are an opportunity for departments to highlight their major and minor programs and spend intentional time with undeclared students who are exploring their options for their major and minor planning. As we welcome the class of 2029, we share the list below for the 2025-26 academic year. Where additional contact information for departments and RSVPs have been shared, they are included, as well as links to event flyers and websites. **Additional programs will be added to this site as new events are announced!**

"Life of a Quant Student" - Committee on Quantitative Research Methods in Education, Health, and Social Sciences (QMEHSS)
Undergraduates interested in applying data and statistical tools across the social, behavioral, and health sciences are invited to learn about the University-wide Committee on Quantitative Methods and the Minor in Quantitative Social Analysis. Meet faculty, explore research/teaching opportunities, and get practical advising on how to navigate nearly 100 quantitative methods courses offered in 2025–26—no prior experience required. Food and beverages will be served after the session. We welcome all students from undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels to attend. Professor Chris Berry, who teaches PBPL 22100 Politics and Policy, will give a presentation, “The Urban-Rural Divide in U.S. Politics,” followed by a Q&A session, so bring your questions and ideas! Abstract: The urban-rural divide is one of the strongest cleavages in contemporary American politics. Professor Berry will discuss the origins of this divide in the late 20th century, the role of sorting vs treatment in explaining it, and its implications for public policy.
