This site allows College students to schedule appointments with various offices in The College.

### College Academic Adviser Appointment Scheduling

#### For General Academic Adviser Appointments

College Academic Advisers provide both in-person and remote appointments. Select the type of appointment you wish to reserve. Students who are studying abroad or are ill should select the remote option.

#### For Adviser on Call Appointments

The Adviser on Call is available for urgent questions when your assigned College Adviser is out of the office.\
**Incoming First-Year and Transfer Students:** Adviser on Call cannot be used for summer planning meetings. If your adviser is out of the office, questions regarding placement exams and AP/IB scores should be sent [collegeadvising@uchicago.edu](mailto:collegeadvising@uchicago.edu). All other questions should be reserved for your scheduled Summer advising meeting.\
**Returning Students** Adviser on Call should not be used for required conferences, long-term planning, or planning out an additional major or a new minor.
All Adviser on Call appointments are remote only. Please note the Zoom link when scheduling.

### Book an Academic Coaching Appointment

All enrolled college students are welcome to book an Academic Coaching session with an Academic Support Specialist. Both in-person and remote meetings are available, although it is recommended that students schedule their first meeting to be in person. Students who are studying abroad, returning from a leave of absence, or are ill on the day of their meeting should email their Academic Support Specialist to confirm that their meeting will be remote.

  If you are unable to schedule an appointment with a College Core Writing Tutor, you may place yourself on the [Drop-In Queue](https://collegescheduling.uchicago.edu/amwalkin/WalkIn.aspx?S=29943) to see a Writing Tutor today. In the event of a cancellation or open spot, a Writing Tutor will reach out to a student in the Drop-In Queue via email for a tutoring session.

  Please note that the Drop-In Queue is only active for same-day tutoring. The Drop-In Queue is open Sundays-Thursdays from 2:00pm-9:00pm CST, and Friday from 12:00pm-3:00pm CST.
