## Authorization

The University of Maryland, College Park is authorized to operate in the state of Maryland by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC), <http://mhec.maryland.gov>. All degree and certificate programs are approved by MHEC and the University System of Maryland. The university adheres to MHEC's [student complaint process](https://mhec.maryland.gov/institutions_training/Pages/career/pcs/complaint.aspx).

The University of Maryland, College Park is a participating institution in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), <http://nc-sara.org>, and is thereby authorized to offer online programs in all participating NC-SARA states and territories.
