##### Description
**BRIDGE (Building Retention in Doctoral Graduate Education)**is designed to support new UF Ph.D. students as they transition into their doctoral studies. BRIDGE offers resources, workshops, and networking opportunities to ensure a smooth and successful start to your academic journey. Through a blend of virtual and in-person programming, BRIDGE provides academic enrichment, peer networking, and essential skills to thrive in graduate school.
##### Details
- The program begins in the Summer B Semester with online instruction, delivered via the BRIDGE Canvas Course, covering essential topics such as academic writing, statistics, and research methodologies.
- Following the online component, students attend in-person sessions on campus for two weeks, where they participate in face-to-face workshops. Additional benefits include access to UF campus resources, writing support, and early access to mentoring.
- Participants who fulfill the program requirements will be awarded a small stipend at the beginning of fall semester to support their academic transition.
- Participants engage in a six-week cohort program.

##### Eligibility & Requirements
- You must be a newly admitted Fall 2026 Ph.D. student at the University of Florida.
- You must have received your admission offer by June 1, 2026 to be eligible.
- You must commit to participating in virtual and in-person sessions, an average of five to eight hours per week
- You must be enrolled for the upcoming fall semester as a full-time doctoral student.
- Applicants with diverse experiences and perspectives are welcome to join our community!
