Accreditation

Accreditation is important for you.

It is a sign that a university or college meets standards that ensure the quality and integrity of the degree that you earn there.

It helps educational institutions to decide on accepting transfer credits from other universities or colleges.

It assures employers of alumni qualifications and enables graduates to sit for professional certification and licensure examinations.

It determines eligibility for federal student financial aid.

The University of Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, education specialist, and doctoral degrees.

UF also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
