Admitted Student Checklist for Class of 2030

Follow this checklist so you do not miss any important deadlines.

Locate your UFID number in your Gator Portal under “Application Materials.” A few days after being admitted, you will receive an email to create your GatorLink username and password.

Set up your official GatorMail email account.

Using your new GatorLink login, set up your GatorMail email account. Choose your email name wisely! You will use this email to communicate with professors.

Secure your housing.

Complete your on-campus Housing Application, as housing is not reserved for first-year students. To increase your opportunity for on-campus housing, submit the application and then sign and submit the Student Housing Agreement as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Complete your 2026-27 FAFSA.

Submit a 2026-2027 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) today to unlock the fullest range of financial aid options available to you. The FAFSA will help to maximize your chances of getting the best support package possible.

Confirm enrollment by May 1.

Confirm your enrollment via the Gator Portal, and pay the non-refundable $200 tuition deposit, unless your fees were waived.

Register for Preview (freshman orientation).

Preview is UF's required, freshman orientation program. You must confirm your enrollment and pay the non-refundable tuition deposit before registering for Preview.

Submit official test scores by May 1.

Arrange to have the College Board, ACT, or Classic Learning Test (CLT) send your official test scores to the Office of Admissions by May 1. Check your Gator Portal for test score status.

Complete the UF Quest 1 survey by May 8.

Complete the UF Quest 1 Survey to list your preferences for a UF Quest 1 course.

Submit official transcripts by July 1.

Make arrangements to send your final transcripts with diploma date to our office by July 1, as your school may not automatically do this. Check your Gator Portal for transcript(s) status.

PaCE and UF Online Options.

The UF Online Optional Fee Package gives PaCE and UF Online students who reside in or frequently visit Gainesville access to on-campus student services.
