Finance Prof. **Éric Jondeau** from HEC Lausanne addresses the issue of greenwashing in a new podcast series by the University of Lausanne (UNIL), titled **“Are you cheating?”**.

This series available in French language features researchers from various faculties of UNIL discussing different forms of cheating in multiple academic disciplines.

In economics, greenwashing is a type of cheating. It involves deceptive marketing practices that use environmental claims to enhance a company’s image. This poses a risk to investors by funding less virtuous companies. However, evaluation tools exist to help identify genuinely committed companies, as well as more responsible banks.
