OPPORTUNITIES

Career at IIT Kharagpur:

Indian nationals (including NRIs) and Overseas Citizens of India can apply for regular faculty positions at IIT Kharagpur. Foreign nationals (other that OCIs) can apply for faculty positions at IIT Kharagpur on contract. The contract period would not exceed 5 years at a time and the appointment/renewal would be subject to Government clearance. More details can be found at the faculty application link.

Short-term Visits

IIT Kharagpur welcomes visits by faculty members from universities around the world. You can come and spend time to teach, to do collaborative research, or to explore new opportunities. Visits may be as short as a day for a lecture, a few days for a conference, a week or more for a short course, or a full year on sabbatical leave.

Honorary appointments

Upon recommendation by an academic unit and the Dean of Faculty, an international faculty member can be given an honorary visiting position commensurate with the level of engagement at the Institute.
