**Funded slots at TUDIAS Preparatory College in Dresden\
for graduates of PASCH schools**

**Who is eligible to receive financial support?** Graduates of [PASCH schools](https://pasch-net.de/de/pasch-schulen/weltkarte.html) (German international schools, schools offering the German Language Certificate (DSD) with a secondary school diploma that is not recognized for university qualification in Germany and thus requires attendance of a preparatory college prior to starting studies.

**What is coverd by the funding?** Financing of the [course fees](https://tudias.de/en/preparatory-college/course-fees.html) at TUDIAS Preparatory College Dresden (T-course or W-course only) for the regular duration, i.e. for 2 semesters

Subsidized slots are made available annually by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of TU Dresden (GFF - Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der TU Dresden e. V.). In the case of subsidized slots, the course costs are covered by the TU Dresden, which normally have to be paid at the state-approved fee-based TUDIAS Studienkolleg in Dresden.

**Prerequisites for financial support:**

- Interest in studying at TU Dresden (degree program in technology, mathematics, science, economics or social sciences); [Study Information System of TU Dresden](https://tu-dresden.de/sins)
- Financial support is *not possible* for degree programs in medicine, humanities, languages/linguistics or art (no funded slots for M-course and G/S-course).
- Participation in the **central admission test offered by the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA)** at ZfA’s partner schools in about 40 countries (registration with the responsible advisor for German at your school)
- ZfA admission test in **March 2026**: Preparatory college attendance starting in the 2026 winter semester (September 2026 – July 2027, start of your studies/degree program in October 2027)
- ZfA admission test in **October 2026**: Preparatory college attendance starting in the 2027 summer semester (March 2027 – February 2028 participation in the preparatory college, April 2028 - September 2028 orientation semester for study preparation, start of your studies/degree program in October 2028), Please note: In order to bridge the gap until the start of your studies/degree program, you can be enrolled in an orientation semester for study preparation at TU Dresden. During this semester, you can improve your German language skills by attending free language courses and lectures of your degree program with the aim of orientation and preparation for studies.
- When registering for the ZfA admission test: Indicate **TUDIAS Preparatory College** as your **first or second priority**

**Application:**

An application for financial support is not required. After the ZfA admission test has been taken, the results will be forwarded by the ZfA to the TUDIAS Studienkolleg, and you will be informed of the outcome of the selection process by the International Office at TU Dresden.

**Subsidized slots selection procedure:**

The International Office of the TU Dresden will rank the applicants according to their average grade and, if necessary, other criteria depending on the number of applicants (after admissions to study at TU Dresden close).

Applicants who have not been selected for a place funded by TU Dresden can still obtain a self-funded place at TUDIAS-Studienkolleg (participation costs to be covered by the applicants). These applicants will receive further information from TUDIAS-Studienkolleg upon request by email.
