Accessibility Statement

Source: https://tu-dresden.de/barrierefreiheit/erklaerung-barrierefreiheit Parent: https://tu-dresden.de/studium/vor-dem-studium/studienangebot/sins/sins_start

The TU Dresden is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible, in accordance with “Website Accessibility Act” BfWebG (Barrierefreie-Websites-Gesetz) and the “Accessible IT Ordinance” BITV 2.0 (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung), implementing EU Directive 2016/2102.

This accessibility statement applies to the website tu-dresden.de. It does not apply to project websites and pages of individual chairs that are not part of the University's WebCMS.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 27th January 2020 and last updated on 10th September 2025. The last verification of TU Dresden's web presence by means of self-assessment was carried out on 25th November 2019.

The basis for issuing this accessibility statement is a self-assessment of the website's compatibility with the requirements of the BfWebG in accordance with BITV 2.0, carried out by TU Dresden.

Compliance status with the requirements of the BITV

The web presence of TU Dresden was launched before 23rd September 2018 and does not yet fully correspond to the current state of accessibility. We are constantly working on the further development of the TUD's web presence and in doing so we are also trying to break down barriers.

Non-accessible content

The following sections/content/functions are not designed to be accessible as the they are an exception according to Article 1 para. 4 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and they are therefore not within the scope of the BfWebG:

TU Dresden's website contains a large number of documents that were published before 23rd September 2018 and are not accessible. If you have any questions about documents and related deficiencies, please contact the Registration Office.

The responsibility for the editorial contents lies with the respective organisations and persons who have created the contents of these pages. They are supported in their work by regular quality controls and training. Nevertheless, errors and accessibility issues in implementation may occur. If you notice any shortcomings or difficulties in accessing the content, you are welcome to report these to the Registration Office.

To improve accessibility beyond the legal requirements, we have implemented the following additional contents:

Both pages can be found under "Accessibility" in the header of our website.

Other TU Dresden systems

A separate statement on accessibility for newsletters applies to newsletters created and sent using TU Dresden's central newsletter tool.

A separate accessibility statement also applies to the TUD Impuls - the ideas platform.

Feedback and contact information

If you notice any shortcomings with regard to accessible design, you can report these to us using the "Report an accessibility issue" form and request it in the accessible format. Alternatively, you can contact the Registration Office for Accessibility.
