Meet PoLina! Introducing the PoL Comics
Explore the Physics of Life universe with PoLina, the protagonist of the PoL comic strip! In collaboration with artist Jon Chad, we have developed 10 comic strips exploring different key biophysics concepts used by our scientists, perfect for curious minds of all ages! Below you can find the comic strips in the two official languages of PoL (English and German). For more translations, go to:

Museum Exhibition
Physics of Life at Technische Sammlungen Dresden
Explore the mysteries of life at our Physics of Life exhibition, now open at the Technische Sammlungen Dresden! This interactive showcase invites visitors to engage with hands-on experiments and stunning illustrations that reveal how biology, physics, and computer science researchers work together to uncover life’s fundamental processes. Running until October 27 2024, it’s a must-see for anyone curious about biophysics! From March 2025 you will be able to catch our exhibition at the COSMO Science Forum, at the Kulturpalast in Dresden.
Long Night of Science
Each year, PoL takes part in the Long Night of Science Dresden, offering the public an exciting glimpse into our cutting-edge research. With our scientists at the front door to talk to the community, the event featured interactive exhibits at three key locations, hands-on activities for all ages, and fascinating presentations. From showcasing the physical principles of self-organization, to the thrilling Science Slam competition, it is always an unforgettable night celebrating the wonders of science!
EMBO Workshops
Physics of Living Systems 2021 & 2023
PoL was honored to host the EMBO Workshop Physics of Living Systems, 2021 and 2023. Gathering the most brilliant minds in the field, the EMBO workshop offered a unique opportunity for the exchange and advancement of science with PoL creating the ideal environment to do so.
