The Department of Bioengineering (BE) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is a new and dynamic department focused on cutting-edge research in the interdisciplinary areas of Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology. Utilizing physical and chemical and engineering tools, we explore the exciting world of biology and develop methods to modulate biological systems for therapeutic as well as industrial purposes.
