We are delighted to share that students from the BioMedIA Lab have earned prestigious recognition at the International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI 2025), held in Daejeon, South Korea.

Vivek Shrikrishna Dhamale received the MICCAI 2025 Travel Award for presenting his research titled “Inter-class separability loss for weakly supervised mutually exclusive multiclass segmentation of brain tumor lesions.” His work was also selected for a spotlight presentation, highlighting its innovation and impact in advancing medical image analysis. In addition, Mr. Ghanshyam Dhamat achieved an impressive distinction, with his algorithm ranking among the top six methods out of 16 participating teams in the Automated Identification of Moderate-Severe Traumatic Brain Injury Lesions (AIMS-TBI 2025) Challenge at MICCAI 2025.

Congratulations to Vivek and Ghanshyam on these outstanding achievements that bring international recognition to the BioMedIA Lab!
