# Clinical Interactions

A distinguishing feature of BE is the conscious attention given to working with clinicians, clinical researchers, and hospitals. We have MoUs with a number of hospitals in and outside Bengaluru. Additionally, we have a special MD-PhD programme with CMC-Vellore. We have two DBT-supported “biodesign innovator” positions for MD-degree holders to pursue development of innovative biomedical devices. We get MBBS students from CMC-Vellore for a summer programme (see [BEST+](https://be.iisc.ac.in/BEST.html)) every year. Most importantly, many of our past and ongoing projects have clinical collaborators. Some of those projects are listed below.
