IISc’s Knowledge and E-Learning Network
E-learning is an important component of any modern university or higher education institution. A number of universities have open learning and digital learning strategies and offer online educational materials. Also, the national education policy 2020 has stated the vision for online education in the country. In view of all these, an IISc’s Knowledge E-Learning Network (I-KEN) centre has been set up to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure which enable faculty members to create rich multimedia content for online delivery of courses.
IKEN is also coorindating the new Master of Technology (Online) degree programme, a fully online programme, for practising engineers and scientists established as part of National Education Policy (NEP 2020). The degree programme is for professionals who are sponsored by organisations, who already have a BE/BTech/Equivalent degree and wish to upskill or re-skill themselves. The streams currently being offered are:
- Data Science and Business Analytics
- Artificial Intelligence
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
