By bus
When you travel by bus
(Ontario and Quebec)
Greyhound Bus
- If you are travelling by Greyhound bus, be sure to choose the Ottawa U Waller Laurier (B) arrival point.
- When you get off the bus, you will be in front of Desmarais Hall, 55 Laurier Avenue East. Cross the street and head towards the main entrance.

OC Transpo
The following bus routes are available near Desmarais Pavilion, 55 Laurier Avenue East:
5, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 39, 45, 57, 61, 75, 97, 114, 602, 624
There is an O-Train station on the University of Ottawa campus, where Line 1 goes.

STO QC
The following bus routes will stop near the Desmarais Pavilion, 55 Laurier Avenue East:
48, 55, 59, 67, 87, 400
- Get off the bus at the "Rideau Station" stop.
- The Desmarais Pavilion is on the East side (300 m).
Many buses go to downtown Ottawa, near the Chateau Laurier, a 10-minute walk (750 m) from the Desmarais building:
11, 17, 23, 26, 27, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, 40, 41, 45, 47, 85, 93, 95, 371
- Get off the bus at the "Mackenzie / Rideau" stop.
- Head southeast on Mackenzie Avenue.
- Continue straight on Colonel By Drive.
- Turn left on Laurier Avenue West via the pedestrian pathway.
- The entrance to Desmarais Pavilion is located at the corner of Laurier and Nicholas Streets.

By car
When you travel by car
(Ottawa and Quebec)
Coming from the West - Highway 417
- Take exit 118 towards Nicholas Street.
- Take Nicholas Street (northwest).
- Continue straight ahead at the lights where Nicholas and Laurier Streets meet.
- The underground parking lot will be immediately on your right.
Coming from the East - Highway 417
- Take exit 118 towards Nicholas Street.
- Take Nicholas Street (northwest).
- Continue straight ahead at the lights where Nicholas and Laurier Streets meet.
- The underground parking lot will be immediately on your right.
Coming from Quebec, MacDonald-Cartier Bridge
- Take the exit towards King Edward Avenue (south).
- Turn right on Laurier Avenue East.
- Turn right on Nicholas Street.
- The underground parking lot will be immediately on your right.
Coming from Quebec, Alexandra Bridge
- Continue straight on St. Patrick Street (keep left).
- Continue on Murray Street.
- Turn right on King Edward Avenue.
- Turn right on Laurier Avenue East.
- Turn right on Nicholas Street.
- The underground parking lot will be immediately on your right.
Coming from Quebec, Portage Bridge North
- Continue straight ahead to take the Ottawa River Parkway.
- Keep left to take Wellington Street.
- Wellington Street will become Rideau Street.
- Continue straight on Rideau Street.
- Turn right on King Edward Avenue.
- Turn right on Laurier Avenue East.
- Turn right on Nicholas Street.
- The underground parking lot will be immediately on your right.
By plane
When you travel by plane
Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport
By bus from the airport
It is possible to take the bus from the airport. View current fares on the OC Transpo website.
- Take the 97 bus and get off at the "Hurdman A" stop (13 bus stops).
- This should take about 20 minutes. The bus runs every 15 minutes.
- Get to the Hurdman O-Train West / West station (1-minute walk).
- Take the Tunney's Pasture O-Train Line 1 and get off at the uOttawa stop (2 stops).
- Head northwest along the Rideau Canal (7-minutes walk).
- The entrance to the Desmarais building is located on the corner of Laurier and Nicholas Streets.

By train
When you travel by train
Ottawa train station, 200 Tremblay Road
By bus from the train station
It is possible to take the bus from the train station. View current fares on the OC Transpo website.
- Get to the Tremblay station (2 minutes walk).
- Take the O-Train Line 1 Tunney's Pasture and get off at the "uOttawa" stop (3 stops).
- This should take approximately 10 minutes.
- Head northwest along the Rideau Canal (7 minutes walk).
- The entrance to the Desmarais building is located on the corner of Laurier and Nicholas Streets.
