If you are a First Nations or Inuit student, you may be eligible to apply for financial support for Indigenous Canadians.
## Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)
The program aims to improve the socio-economic outcomes for First Nations by supporting First Nations in providing eligible students with funding to access education opportunities at the post-secondary level. This is consistent with the principle of First Nations control of First Nations education.

## What do I need to know about eligibility?
The University of Ottawa has set [eligibility criteria for First Nations, Inuit and Métis students for scholarships and reserved seats](https://www.uottawa.ca/about-us/sites/g/files/bhrskd336/files/2021-09/eligibility_for_focused_admissions_scholarship_and_bursary_for_first_nations_inuit_and_metis.pdf) in faculties to determine which students have access to these services.
