The Bioinformatics and
Computational Biology Ph.D. program focuses on preparing quality researchers
and experts in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology. Graduates
of the program will be able to analyze, discuss and synthesize the knowledge in
the field of bioinformatics and computational biology, which is essential for
the current biology research that can help lay the foundation for country
development of the new era.
The research can be categorized
into four groups as follows:
1. Generate and analyze high-throughput data including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, metagenomics etc.
2. Determine evolutionary relationships using a large number of molecular data and/or builds models evolutional systems to predict changes.
3. Develop mathematical, statistic, or computational tools or algorithms to analyze biological data or to build high-throughput databases.
4. Develop and/or use mathematical models or computational modeling to understand biological system and systems biology.
