Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University\ \ The Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University—established in 1933—stands as Thailand’s first school of architecture and represents a defining milestone in the modernization of the nation’s built-environment disciplines. Founded to meet the growing national demand for professionally trained architects and planners, the Faculty has progressively expanded its academic scope to include architecture, industrial design, landscape architecture, housing, interior architecture, and urban and regional planning.\  

\ Across more than nine decades, the Faculty has continuously refined its academic frameworks to align with global architectural discourse, the development of modern Thai design, and the country’s rapid urban transformation. Its graduates have played influential roles in shaping Thailand’s architectural identity, public policy, infrastructure development, and the creative economy, reinforcing the Faculty’s enduring academic and societal impact. This legacy of excellence has positioned the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, as the No. 1 architecture school in Thailand and among the top 104 institutions globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.\  

\ Today, the Faculty of Architecture continues to advance the field as a leading center for research and innovation under the vision “Architecture and Design for Future Society.” Through initiatives in sustainable development, cultural and heritage capital, social design, innovation, and the creative economy, the Faculty fosters new ideas that connect people, place, and possibility. Furthermore, extensive international collaborations across Asia, Europe, and beyond position the Faculty firmly within the global academic community, strengthening Thailand’s presence on the world stage.
