#### Philosophy

Doctor of Philosophy Program in Architecture is a graduate study program for students with a 5-year Bachelor’s degree in architecture and students with Master’s degree in Architecture, with a strong focus on advanced architectural studies, a broad and in-depth understanding of sciences, an integrated approaches with current issues.

This program is the pillar of regional and international knowledge. It is a reference point for academics, research and professions as well as being a dependency on society at all levels.

หลักสูตรสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตรดุษฎีบัณฑิตเป็นหลักสูตรระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาสำหรับผู้ที่สำเร็จการศึกษาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตรบัณฑิต 5 ปี หรือปริญญาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต ที่มุ่งเน้นผลิตบุคคลทางวิชาการขั้นสูงทางสถาปัตยกรรมต้องเปี่ยมด้วยความรู้ ความเข้าใจในศาสตร์ทั้งเชิงกว้างเเละเชิงลึก สามารถผสมผสานองค์ความรู้แบบบูรณาการเข้ากับเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัย รวมทั้งบุกเบิก เเสวงหา ทำนุบำรุง และถ่ายทอดความรู้ เพื่อความเจริญของสังคมต่อไป

หลักสูตรนี้เป็นเสาหลักขององค์ความรู้ในระดับภูมิภาคและระดับนานาชาติ เป็นแหล่งอ้างอิงทั้งทางวิชาการ วิจัย และวิชาชีพ ตลอดจนเป็นที่พึ่งของสังคมในทุกระดับ

The program objectives are threefold:

- to produce doctoral with excellent skill in advanced architectural studies, both broad and in-depth; able to apply knowledge with creativity and virtue.
- to create a body of knowledge, theory, and new technology in the specific context of Thailand, and integrate and develop a body of knowledge and international technology in accordance with the Thai context.
- to expand the body of architectural knowledge to those of the related fields, in response to the social and technological contexts, as well as the current need for Master’s degree graduates.
- to produce advanced academic and research work for academic and professional societies at the regional and international level.

หลักสูตรสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตรดุษฎีบัณฑิต มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักสำคัญ 3 ประการคือ

- ผลิตดุษฎีบัณฑิตที่มีศักยภาพ คุณภาพ ความสามารถเป็นเลิศ มีวิชาการขั้นสูงด้านสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ ทั้งเชิงลึกและเชิงกว้าง สามารถนำความรู้นั้นไปใช้และทำประโยชน์ให้สังคม ถึงพร้อมซึ่งความคิดริเริ่มสร้างสรรค์ และคุณธรรม
- สร้างองค์ความรู้ ทฤษฎี เทคโนโลยีใหม่ที่เป็นเนื้อหาวิชาของไทย และบูรณาการและพัฒนาองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีสากลให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทของไทย
- เพื่อผลิตผลงานทางวิชาการและการวิจัยขั้นสูง เพื่อหาคำตอบในเชิงปฏิบัติทางวิชาการและวิชาชีพให้กับปัญหาของสังคมในระดับภูมิภาคและนานาชาติ
