IIT Kanpur's BODH Platform for Health AI Launched at India AI Impact Summit 2026

Hon'ble Health Minister, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, launched Benchmarking Open Data Platform for Health AI (BODH), developed by IIT Kanpur in collaboration with National Health Authority (NHA). At the launch, Director, IIT Kanpur, Prof. Manindra Agrawal, introduced BODH as a secure, federated ecosystem designed to transform Indian healthcare. He emphasized that by allowing developers to train AI models on-site without ever accessing raw data - returning only the refined model weights - BODH protects privacy while incentivizing data holders to contribute.

Inauguration of Café Cf 98 at Visiting Hostel at IIT Kanpur

Mr. Prakhar Bansal institutes the Prof. Tapan P. Bagchi Award

Mr. Prakhar Bansal (BT/CHE/1994) instituted the Prof. Tapan P. Bagchi Award for Excellence in Economic Sciences - the first-ever undergraduate convocation award in the department. Mr. Prakhar is a former UChicago endowment executive and current Wealth Manager. Established through a dedicated endowment, the award will be conferred annually at Convocation to recognize academic excellence among graduating students.

IIT Kanpur Establishes the Susham and Satish Palnitkar Scholarship

IIT Kanpur Organizes Flower Show

IIT Kanpur organized its Annual Flower Exhibition at the Institute Nursery, celebrating nature, sustainability, and community participation. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Braj Bhushan, Deputy Director, IIT Kanpur, in the presence of Prof. Arghya Das, Chairperson, Flower Show Committee, along with committee members Mr. V.K. DoRA Office, IIT Kanpur Hosts Faculty Connect

The Office of Resources and Alumni (DoRA), IIT Kanpur, recently organised the Faculty Connect Session to strengthen internal engagement, outreach, and collaboration with Institute faculty. The session familiarised faculty with DoRA's role and initiatives. \ During the session, Prof. Amey Karkare provided an overview on DoRA's role in facilitating faculty engagement through structured department-alumni networking, proposal structuring, corporate partnerships, CSR compliance management, while strengthening institutional credibility through impactful success stories. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing faculty members to engage with the DoRA and his team. \ The event received an excellent response, with over 120 faculty in attendance, making the session a great success.
