Student Life OLD Gymnasium (Credit: Bharat Lal) IIT Kanpur offers a vibrant campus life. It is a safe and secure campus. Students will find the beautiful and peaceful campus a great place to live. When they wish to do something there are a lot of choices available to them. Students can pursue the passions they bring to the campus. Or they can take up new ones. There are many recreational facilities, hobby clubs, sports facilities and cultural societies on campus. The friendly but keen competition in the various sports prepares the students to face the challenges they encounter in the future. These clubs make learning fun and also offer the opportunity to compete with similar clubs at other institutions.	Accommodation The Halls Of Residence at IIT Kanpur provide comfortable accommodation and are located close to the academic area. You will find they are much more than a place to eat and sleep, they have several sports and recreational facilities as well. Each Hall enjoys lifelong loyalty from its past residents.
